01THE WEEKEND'S DEFINING SHIFT
Missouri joined the conversation. Florida lost its cushion.
The Tigers produced the clearest revaluation of the weekend, turning a top-10 opponent into a four-touchdown result. Missouri now carries legitimate SEC and playoff relevance; Florida's path narrowed sharply one week after its breakthrough win over Ole Miss.
SEC
Missouri forces a reprice
Missouri's 45–17 rout of Florida moved the Tigers from No. 25 to No. 14 and dropped Florida from No. 8 to No. 16. Georgia and Alabama stayed unbeaten, setting up the first true top-tier SEC separator of the season.
BIG TEN
The top separates from the middle
Ohio State handled Iowa 31–14 and Indiana reached 5–0. Michigan's 20–14 loss to Minnesota pushed the Wolverines to 0–2 in conference play. Oregon remains No. 13, with quarterback Dante Moore's concussion status central to the UCLA matchup.
ACC
Miami takes control
Miami's 41–13 win at Clemson strengthened the Hurricanes' position as the ACC's clear national contender. Unbeaten Pitt entered the poll at No. 25, but quarterback Mason Heintschel's season-ending ACL injury materially changes its outlook.
BIG 12
The leaders hold serve
BYU beat TCU 17–10, Texas Tech beat Colorado 29–7 and Houston beat UCF 27–17. Five Big 12 teams are ranked, led by No. 8 BYU, with no top contender eliminated this weekend.
